The red-carpet celebration of our National GRAMMY Award is like the cherry on top of a multi-flavored ice cream sundae! I can't believe we did the whole thing!! But oh -- how content you feel once your sit down and think of how you got there... We have dished up from the UF Invitation Choral Festival to masters classes with the Kings Singers; from Concert Chorale singing with Sandi Patti and the Jacksonville Symphony to Chorus and Choir leading the festivities of the UNF Feast of Carols; from participating in the first annual MLK Concert at Jacoby Hall to the perennial Tree Lighting at the Landing; from the theatrical A Little Night Music to the Theatre Jax setting for That Spring Fling; from District and State Choral success to being the host for a stellar Solo & Ensemble Festival; from Cabaret 2010 -- Our Legendary Night Under the Stars to our meteoric rise with our Chorale Women at ACDA Regional in Memphis; and there's a flavor for every taste!! As I end TEN YEARS of laboring in love and with passion, I can attest to being blessed by ALL of you. It is an honor to share in the journey and to achieve lofty recognitions. However -- my dream is that the personal lives of the students and parents have been enriched by the art that pours from our souls. Let us all sing to change lives. Mr. Clayton |
